Administrative Resolution No. 15/20

SUSPENSION OF IN-PERSON HEARINGS AND MEETINGS DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC – CORONAVIRUS

The President of CAMARB – Business Mediation and Arbitration Chamber – Brazil, vested on his duties set forth in the Bylaws, and:

WHEREAS the publication of Administrative Resolutions No. 08/20, 09/20 and 10/20;

WHEREAS the country is still under the Covid-19 pandemic;

WHEREAS CAMARB is committed to the integrity of its employees and to the users of its services, including arbitrators, mediators, and attorneys;

WHEREAS the holding of hearings and meetings remotely using virtual platforms has occurred successfully and without problems;

Resolves that, until further deliberation, CAMARB will not promote any in-person hearings or meetings.

The parties, arbitrators and mediators may decide to hold in-person hearings and meetings at locations of their choice, under their organization and responsibility. In these cases, the participation of the CAMARB´s Secretariat will take place remotely.

This Administrative Resolution shall remain in force until expressly revoked.
