Administrative Resolution No. 24/22

REF.: HOLDING OF HEARINGS AND FACE-TO-FACE MEETINGS

The President of CAMARB – Câmara de Mediação e Arbitragem Empresarial – Brazil, in the exercise of her powers foreseen in the Bylaws[1]:

CONSIDERING:

  1. the publication of Administrative Resolutions Nos. 08/20[2], 09/20[3] and 10/20[4], which determine CAMARB’s exceptional operation;
  2. the publication of Administrative Resolution number 15/20[5], which determined the suspension of hearings and face-to-face meetings at CAMARB’s premises due to the COVID-19 pandemic;
  3. the epidemiological situation that characterizes the retraction of the COVID-19 pandemic, enabling the relaxation of sanitary measures.

RESOLVES to revoke Administrative Resolution No. 15/20[6] to authorize hearings and face-to-face meetings at CAMARB’s premises, the holding of which is subject to scheduling and prior consultation on the availability, addressed to the Secretariat of CAMARB. The participants of the hearings shall undertake to comply with the sanitary measures in force, according to the place where they are held.

Notwithstanding, the hearings and meetings may be held in virtual format (online), as determined by the arbitral tribunals, with the full support of the Secretariat of CAMARB.

This Administrative Resolution shall remain in force until expressly revoked.

[1] Art. 19 – Without prejudice to the other attributions provided for in the Bylaws, it is incumbent upon the President:

g) to issue resolutions, regulations or acts on matters pertaining to the administration of CAMARB or procedures administered by it.

[2] It deals with the exceptional functioning of CAMARB due to the COVID-19 pandemic – Coronavirus, in force between March 18th, 2020 and March 31st, 2020.

[3] Extends the validity of Administrative Resolution 08/20 until April 14, 2020.

[4] Extends the validity of Administrative Resolutions 08/20 and 09/20 for an indefinite period.

[5] Deals with the suspension of hearings and face-to-face meetings due to the COVID-19 pandemic – Coronavirus.
