Christian Carbajal

    Lawyer specialising in International Law, Arbitration and Foreign Investment Protection, graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, with a Master’s Degree in International Economic Law from the University of Warwick – England and a Specialization Diploma in International Investment Law from the University of Louvain, Belgium. Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), London. Partner of the Arbitration & ADR Department of BCVL Advogados with offices in Rio de Janeiro and Curitiba, Brazil and partner of Wöss & Partners S.C. – Arbitration and Infrastructure, based in Mexico and Vienna. He has experience as an arbitrator in commercial, civil and public procurement matters in infrastructure projects in Peru and Brazil. Member of the list of arbitrators in Chambers of Arbitration in Brazil and abroad. Legal advisor to foreign investors in international arbitrations before the ICSID (Washington) and legal advisor in ICC and GAFTA (London) international commercial arbitrations. University Professor and lecturer on topics related to International Trade, National and International Arbitration and the Protection of Foreign Investments in the Universities of Peru (ULIMA and UESAN) and Brazil (PUCPR and UNIVALI). President of the Public and Private International Law Committee of the Inter-American Federation of Lawyers (FIA) and advisory member of the Arbitration Commission of the OAB-SC (2019-2022). Author of several articles on international arbitration and foreign investment in specialized magazines.
